The under 9's progressed to the SHGCL League Cup semi finals in their first season since being formed over the Summer, a fantastic achievement in their first season together.

Town threatened in the very first minute when Holly Wilkinson knocked a great pass through to Harriet Oldfield who shot just wide of the target.

A few minutes later and Oldfield shoots but well saved by the Dronfield keeper, tipping the ball over the bar.

Oldfield opened the scoring in the 6th minute when following a great passing move she found the net, 1-0.

Just a minute later and Town doubled their lead as Oldfield collected the ball - passed to Imogen Ward who crossed into the box and Jayda Jobarteh collects with some good footwork and scores.

Dronfield get a run on goal - but Isabelle Cleverly gets back to apply some pressure and Madison Hamilton saves

From a throw in the ball gets to Cleverly who passes into the box where the ball fell to Alysia Singh who rolls it in, 3-0

With 5 minutes of the half remaining, Singh steals the ball on the half way line, runs through on their goal and shoots - 4-0

In the final minute of the half, the Dronfield striker sneaks in on a cross, shoots and scores.

Immediately after the restart, Town increased their lead when after receiving a great pass from Oldfield, Singh is through on goal and strikes into the top corner. 5-1

Hamilton  runs in onto the ball after a defensive clearance and controls the ball and shoots, 6-1

Just a minute later and it's 7-1 after some great attacking play the ball lands at Singh's feet for another great shot into their bottom corner.

Further goals from Oldfield and Singh made the score 9-1 before, with just a few minutes of the game remaining Dronfield ran through on the Town goal to make it 9-2.
