MATCH REPORTS SEASON 2019/20
FA Women's National League - Reserve League Northern Division 1
22nd September 2019
Chorley Reserves 0 - Huddersfield Town Devs 0
The development side looked to continue their unbeaten run since the start of the season. They played Chorley in a preseason friendly where they came out victorious 4-2. They new this was going to be a tough a physical game and it didn’t disappoint for the physical side of the game. However, in the first 30 minutes of the game Huddersfield town devs looked a very well organised team playing the ball around 1 2 touch football with majority of possession but with no final product. Chorley made it very difficult for our development side to find any clear cut chances in the opening 30 minutes of the game. As half time drew with the scores still level town took their foot off the gas and allowed Chorley to come into the game more with them having a few near miss chances. 0-0 at half time with town just narrowly missing out on the physical side but having the upper hand on other aspects.
Second half, Town came flying out the blocks and the second half was very even games from both halves. Town made a few changes and they looked dangerous throughout the whole half but just couldn’t find the back of the net. I fantastic battle from both teams but couldn’t break the deadlock so the game finished 0-0. Town will look forward to playing the reverse fixture at home in February.
Next Sunday the Development team are at home to Barnsley Reserves, 2pm kick off
