FA Women's Premier League - Reserve Cup
4th February 2018
Huddersfield Town Development 0-1 Bolton Wanderers Reserves

HTLFC Development put in a below par performance again Bolton to lose 1-0 at home in the reserve cup quarter final.

Town started sloppily and too many rushed passes saw them give the ball away with nearly every attack.

Town continued to put themselves under pressure and their opponents grew into the game testing the defence with a couple of teasing corners. However the girls managed to hold on until half time in a first half of no clear cut chances for either side.

HT 0-0

The best chances of the game for Town came just after half time when good attacking play down the wings saw Katie Halligan, Danni Biglin and Sharone Buckle all go close following a string of corners.

Bolton took the lead when lazy play from front to back saw the ball worked 100 yards across the pitch with no defensive player in sight, allowing the oposition striker to run through and finish high into the corner of the net.

This didn't spark the reaction we usually see from the players with Bolton wanting the ball more than most on the Town side.

The game came to a close with no clear cut chances again as Towns impressive run in the cup came to an end.
