Dinnington Town 1-8 Huddersfield Town Academy
The academy team moved up to second place in the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Women's league Division 1 with a convincing win over Dinnington Town.
On a very boggy pitch, Town had the better of the opening exchanges and went ahead in the 3rd minute when Jess Frater lobbed the Dinnington keeper.
A minute later and Macy Ellis struck a strong shot into the side netting.
Molly Ellis then had a chance but her shot was over the bar.
Frater got her second of the game in the 14th minute with a powerfully struck left foot shot and four minutes later she crossed for Sophie Digva to make it 3-0. Digva got her second of the game in the 25th minute.
Macy Ellis scored her first and Town's fifth in the 28th minute and then made it 6-0 just before half time.
Half time 0-6.
The second half was quieter and Dinnington came out in much more determined mood.
Faye Allen almost scored when she crashed a shot against the Dinnington post before, Jess Barrow scored with a delicate chip.
Dinnington got themselves a consolation goal when latching onto a short back pass before Macy Ellis completed the scoring and her hat trick with two minutes remaining.
Another convincing win for the Town ladies youngsters.
