Huddersfield Town Dev's 2 - Bradford City Reserves 2
The Development team were held to a draw against a very impressive Bradford City side at home on Sunday.
City came at Town from the off and fought hard for 90 minutes not allowing Town time on the ball.
However it was Town who took the lead when MOM Rose Priestley headed home at the near post following Lodge's inswinging corner.
Bradford leveled shortly afterwards when the right winger skipped past the defence to pull back for the oncoming striker to fire home from close range.
City found themselves 2-1 up following a mistake at the back which gave the striker time to run through 1 on 1 with Pare to slot low into the corner.
HT 1-2
Town dominated the second half as they looked to claw back the game. Lodge, Halligan and McCamon all had shots well saved from distance before Chadwick saw her shot following a corner stopped on the line.
Substitute Tara Duce equalised for Town with a contender for goal of the season. The attacking midfielder reveived the ball 30 yards out, took 1 touch out of her feet and smashed in her shot off the crossbar giving the keeper no chance.
Halligan had a header cleared off the line before Izzy Pare came to a Towns rescue with a diving top corner save.
Time ran out for Town and the game finished level. A huge game awaits the girls now as Blackburn Rovers visit the Stafflex Arena in a weeks time.
