28th January 2018
Sheffield United u12's 6-0 Huddersfield Town u12's
The Under 12s were knocked out of the cup this weekend with a far below par performance away at Sheffield Utd.
Although Town were denied a 3rd minute penalty when Taylor-Williams was caught late in the box, they never got out of 1st gear.
Town were 1-0 down after 15 minutes when the Utd number 10 was given way to much time and space to fire low past MOM Grace Redfern.
Burgess came close with 2 left foot strikes but both strikes were dragged wide of the far post.
Redfern kept it to one 1 goal after a string of fine saves, keeping out everything thrown her way.
HT 1-0
Town self destructed after half time with to many players nowhere near the high standards they have set themselves throughout the past 18 months.
The next 35 mimutes saw United score 5 sloppy unanswered goals as the heads gradually dropped.
Definitely one to forget for the girls who get the chance to put right the defeat as United visit Storthes Hall next Saturday in the league.
