The under 13s kept their 5th clean sheet of the season and came away with a hard fought victory over Sheffield Wednesday.

Wednesday were tough to break down right from the start but Town matched the oppositions physicality for much of the game.

Town found the Owls keeper in superb form when the stopper somehow tipped Firths shot over the bar following a thunderous effort from the winger.

Wednesday got a penalty on 20 minutes when a teasing corner was met at the front post and with the ball sailing into the net, Firth clearly handled on the line. The striker stepped up but saw her effort crash back off the post and away to safety.

Firth immediately picked up the ball and ran 60 yards of the pitch only to be brought down right on the edge of the box. Ramsdens free kick evaded everyone and went away for a dead ball.

Rejiba went close moments before half time but was off balance when throughon goal and fired wide.

HT: 0-0

It was another battling second half from both teams but Town just about shaded the last 35 minutes.

Ramsden fired a 20 yard volley which was destined for the goal but again the keeper tipped over well.

Town found the breakthrough from the resulting corner. Ramsden whipping in a great cross and Rejiba was there to volley home from 8 yards.

Town were going for an insurance goal now and found it when Radley did well to create space down the right. The full back received the crossfield ball, took one touch out of her feet and hit a fierce low shot across the keeper from the edge of the box into the bottom corner.

Grace Redfern had little to do in the Town goal but did brilliantly to stat alert and save 2 late one on ones and help the team hang onto their 2 goal advantage. Town move up to third in the league still with games in hand over the top 2.
