Doncaster Rovers Foundation u13's 1 - Huddersfield Town u13's 4
Strikers Hannah Burgess and Alise Gindra helped themselves to a hat-trick each as the under 13s convincingly beat Rovers Foundation away in the Cup.
Town were always on the front foot and could have taken the lead after just 30 seconds as Burgess fired over from close range. Taylor-Williams did the same moments later but Town took the lead 3 minutes later when Burgess scored her first of the game following good build up from Rejiba and Firth.
Firth was a menace for the first half and went on to supply Burgess with her second before Rejiba put through the striker to complete her hat-trick on 20 minutes.
Gindra replaced the goal scorer and made an immediate impact as she smashed home from close range following more good build up play.
MOM Mia Yates was an inch off scoring her first Town goal after 3 years at the club when a 18 yard effort shaved the crossbar to go out for a goal kick. However Gindra made no mistake when the ball fell kindly to her in the area to poke home from 2 yards.
HT: 0-5
Town came out much the same in the second half but a brilliant 30 minutes from the Rovers keeper kept the score as low as possible, saving everything thrown at her. Taylor-Williams, Rejiba, Gindra and Ramsden were all denied by the keeper before Hall put through a lovely lofted ball for Gindra to run on to and fire hard into the corner.
Rovers pulled one back when Redfern came out of her area to clear a long ball but with the ball getting stuck in the mud the young stopper could only find the striker closing her down who shot firat time into an empty net.
Turner when powering down the wing and her teasing cross was unfortunately put into the back of the net by the Rovers centre half and Taylor-Williams thundersous top bins strike made it 8 for the Terriers.
Yates hit the bar with another long range effort and Town had 2 more cleared off the line as the game came to a close.
Town go into the next round awaiting to see who they draw in the next round.
