u13 League
13th April 2019
Sheffield United Community Red u13's 2 - Huddersfield Town u13's 7
The under 13s will play out the final game of the season needing a win to secure the league title after a stunning performance away at Sheffield United.
The Terriers thought their chance had gone in the shock midweek defeat to Barnsley but results elsewhere went for them and the girls didn't need a second invite to show what it meant to them.
Arguably this was Towns best performance of the season, staying strong at the back, dominant in midfield and clinical up top.
Hannah Burgess scored a first half brace, first neatly finishing off a cross from Rejiba and then volleying in a Ramsden corner. However United were awarded a dubious penalty towards half time and a Blades player was left unmarked at the back post to head hlme the resulting cross.
Ella Rejiba restored Towns 2 goal lead before half time when Ramsden burst through the defence and slipped in a cross for the standcin striker to toe past the keeper.
Half Time: 1-3
Town were devastating in front of goal in the second half and Rejiba very quickly scored her second of the game before a great passing move from United so the striker head past Redfern to make it 4-2.
Town then took the game by the scruff of the neck and Rejiba completed her hatrick with Firth scoring either side of that goal to give Town an impressive scoreline to take into the final game.
Full Time: Sheffield United 2-7 HTLFC
Scorers: Rejiba x3, Burgess x2, Firth x2
