Town u14's sadly missed out on a place in a cup final after battling against horrendous snow storms away to the on form Doncaster Belles team. Both sets of players deserve a huge amount of credit for completing this fixture as on more than one occasion it was halted to discuss calling it off. But both sets of players wanted to carry on and after the full time whistle it was honours even. 1-1. Isobella Kington drew level after Town went behind in the first half attacking into the strong winds. The second half was just has bad as the first regarding the conditions but this time the wind was behind Town and they were camped in the Belles half but they just didnt get the break they needed. So extra time it was. 7 minutes each way which came and went in a blink of an eye with no great chances for any team. So the dreaded penalties kicked in and it was the Belles keeper who was the hero making 3 great saves which won them the match and the reward of a place in the final. Town did everything they could and put up a great battle in such conditions. The heartache will last a few days but then it will be back to normal with the league title high on their to do list to concentrate on.
