The under 14's moved 6 points clear at the top of division 1 with another hard working performance against a determined Rovers Foundation team

Laura Hulme opened the scoring for Town in the 3rd minute following a good one-two with Tamara Wilcock.

A few minutes later and Wilcock had her first sighter of the game, firing just over the Rovers crossbar.

Rovers then had a good period of play, eventually resulting in a good break but, their striker shot wide of the target.

On the half hour mark, Wilcock struck a beautiful shot from distance which nestled in the top corner of the net to double Town's advantage.

Half time 2-0

Early in the second half Alex McKie had a shot saved but, just a few minutes later a Jada Simon corner was eventually lashed home by Wilcock from just inside the 6 yard box, 3-0.

McKie then followed up with another good break and finish to make it 4-0 and shortly afterwards, Chloe Latham saw her strong shot crash off the Rovers crossbar.

With 15 minutes of the game remaining, a cross from Hulme was half headed by McKie, only for Mia Harris to be on hand to side foot home for Town's fifth and final goal of the game.

Rovers weren't finished and Keira Millward in Town's goal, pulled off one fantastic save to keep her goal intact in the final 10 minutes of the game.

Full time 5-0.

Jada Simon was named player of the match following an excellent midfield display.
