The under 14s maintained their six point lead at the top of the league with a well deserved victory over a determined and robust Sheffield United team. The contest started with both teams battling hard to gain the ascendancy. Town went close in the early stages with shots from Laura Hulme and Tamara Wilcock going narrowly wide. Sheffield went close when one of their forwards broke clear but Keira Millward made an excellent save in blocking the shot. Sheffield were pressing now and in the 10th minute they took the lead after a shot was well saved by Kiera, but she was unable to stop the follow-up .

The under 14s turned the game with three goals before half time. The first came when Chloe Latham won the ball in midfield. She passed to Bella Kington who in turn found Tamara who scored with a powerful shot across the keeper. Bella then set up Laura, who fired into the far corner of the net to make the score 2 - 1 . The third gaol came from Tamara who guided a shot high into the roof of the net.

Half time  3 - 1.

Four minutes into the second half Town increased their lead when Mia Harris put Bella in on goal and she beat the keeper with a cool finish. Soon after Bella had a shot saved, but then she soon made the score 5 -1. After a goal mouth scramble she was on hand to prod the ball home from close range. Two minutes later, Bella completed her hat trick when she beat the keeper with another cool finish when one on one. Just before the end of the game, Chloe had a shot that hit the post and the game finished 6 - 1.

This was another excellent team performance by the under 14s with all players producing a telling performance.
