Town ladies under 14's made fairly smooth progress to the semi finals of the league cup with a solid 2-0 away win at Rovers Foundation.

On a very muddy and difficult pitch, Town made the perfect start when after 5 minutes Laura Hulme crossed the ball into Isobella Kington to slot the ball home and put Town 1-0 up.

Player of the match Hulme was causing Rovers many problems with her tricky play down the right and another cross was put over the bar by Mia Harris in the 12th minute.

Leah Pearman then had a long range effort well saved by the Rovers keeper just a few minutes later.

With 20 minutes gone Town doubled their advantage when the muddy pitch and slippery ball was spilled by the keeper and player of the match Kington was once again on hand to tuck it home.

Half time 0-2.

The second half was a quieter affair with Town dominating possession but unable to create many chances against a well drilled Rovers defence.

Rovers best chance came 3 minutes from the end of the game when Keira Millward saved well to maintain her clean sheet.
