AFC Pogmoor 0 - Huddersfield Town u14's 0
Town ladies and AFC Pogmoor went into this game level on points and joint top of Division 1 and, the situation remained the same after they played out a 0-0 draw.
Both sides cancelled each other out early in the game but Town almost broke through in the 3rd minute when Alex McKie broke down the left and delivered a good cross into the Pogmoor box.
On a bobbly pitch, good control of the ball wasn't easy and much of the play was congested in the middle of the pitch.
Pogmoor created some half chances, shooting wide on a couple of occasions with Keira Millward being called on to make a decent interception midway through the half.
Towards the end of the half, Town put some pressure on the Pogmoor goal with Tamara Wilcock having a shot deflected over and then, from the resulting corner, heading straight into the keepers arms.
Half time 0-0
The second half continued as the first half had with few clear cut chances for either side.
Scarlett Taylor shot wide of the Pogmoor goal 5 minutes in but then, there was another period of hard tackling but, with little reward for either side.
With an hour gone Isobella Kington and Laura Hulme both had shots saved and then, within a minute, at the other end Millward made another impressive save to keep Pogmoor out.
In the final minutes of the game Pogmoor created some pressure with a number of corners, but Town held firm for a well earned point against a good Pogmoor side.
Chloe Latham was named player of the match after an impressive display in central midfield.
