U14's League Cup
11th January 2020
Huddersfield Town 7 - 1 Crosspool
The under 14s progressed to the semi final of the cup after a convincing 7-1 win at home to Crosspool.
As always, Crosspool were tough to break down and Town had to stay patient for the opening 25 minutes. Although the Terriers had all the possession, the Crosspool players packed the box to block everything fired their way.
The deadlock was broken on the 26th minute and a second was added shortly after when Firth twice set up Libby Harris who slotted home on both occasions from close range.
HT: 2-0
Town made 4 changes at half time and the fresh legs made an instant impact with substitute Hannah Burgess tapping in from close range shortly after the break.
Molly Firth cooly placed her effort into the bottom corner after being put through by Ramsden and Holmes hit a 20 yard effort past the stranded Crosspool keeper.
A goalmouth scramble saw Crosspool snatch a consolation goal with 10 minutes to go but MOM Ella Rejiba hit back with 2 goals to top off a great personal performance.
Town go into the hat for the semi final draw where they will face either Millmoor, Sheffield Utd or Doncaster.
Full Time: HTWFC 7-1 Crosspool
