Town’s under 15s enjoyed a smooth path to the semi-finals of the cup with a scintillating 9-0 victory over a good, battling Barnsley team who, on the day, were no match for their Division one rivals.

 

On the front foot from the start, Town were soon three goals to the good with two fine strikes from Mia Harris and a cool finish from Isobella Kington. Maddy Robb scored two quick-fire strikes to send the hosts into the break in command.

 

The second half saw Lois Mattock score a sixth before Mia completed her hat-trick with a shot from ten-yards after a goalmouth melee. Alex McKie and Laura Hulme added two more late on in a dominant all-round team performance.

 

Player of the match was Gaby Pearson for another strong, commanding display and delivering a series of very dangerous corners.
