                           Huddersfield Town u15's 2 - Doncaster Belles u15's 1

The under 15s continued their fight for league supremacy when Doncaster Belles were the visitors to The Stafflex Arena. Both teams tried to take the initiative from the start but each defence held firm. Bella Kington had a snap shot saved before the Belles did create the first decent chance when their striker was played through and had a one on one with home keeper, Kiera Millward. Kiera stood tall and made a good save to keep the score level. The under 15s then took the lead on 20 minutes. Lois Mattock broke from midfield and found Laura Hulme wide on the right. She rounded the full back and crossed for Bella to guide a well placed header into the bottom corner of the goal. Five minutes later, Bella carried the ball from halfway down the left side of the Belle's defence. She switched the ball to Lois who in turn passed to Laura. Laura took aim from the edge of the area and beat the keeper with a shot into the roof of the net. This made the score 2 - 0. Just before half time, Laura had a shot parried by the keeper and she fired the rebound towards goal and clipped the bar. The score remained 2 - 0 at half time.

In the second half the Belles came out more determinedly and pressed the under 15s back. The defence of Erin Kay, Gabby Pearson, Jada Simon and Millie Rumney were put under a lot of pressure. The midfield of Lucy Grice, Amy Almond and Tegan Stewart-Pybus battled away but the attacks kept coming. Kiera dealt with any shots that came in and was fortunate when one shot hit the post and went wide. With eight minutes left, the Belles player broke down the left, shifted the ball into the penalty area and an attacker squeezed the ball home to make the score 2 - 1 to the Town under 15s. There was no more scoring and the under 15s held on for a battling victory. The under 15s remain at the top of the league with eight games remaining.

Player of the Match was left back Millie Rumney who battled away, was competitive in the tackle and used the ball intelligently.
