                           Doncaster Rovers Foundation 1 - Huddersfield Town u15's 4

The under 15's travelled to play Doncaster Rovers Foundation for their first fixture of 2019. Not having played since 1st December they did not start at their best and were initially held by the determined Doncaster team. In the first half both teams defences coped with any threats and Town only had a Laura Hulme shot in the first 20 minutes. However, after 25 minutes good work from Lois Mattock resulted in Laura being set free on goal and she scored with a shot into the corner of the goal. This was the only goal of a cagey first half.

In the second half Doncaster came out with more determination and took the game to Town. Nine minutes in they had a shot which crashed back off the post and it was no surprise when five minutes later they equalised with a shot that gave Kiera Millward in goal no chance. This was a set back for the Town but it sparked them into life, They played with more passion and passed the ball with purpose. First, Maddy Robb had a shot just wide and then in the 66th minute Laura and Bella Kington combined to set up a chance for Maddy which she took to score, making it 2-1. Bella and Laura were now creating chances and on the 78th minute Lois dispossessed the defender to provide Laura with a chance, which she took, to make it 3 - 1. In the final minute Maddy and Laura combined for Bella to fire home to make the score 4 -1. This was the score at the final whistle which was a little harsh on the Doncaster team.

In the end the team played well and produced some good attacking play and a strong defensive display.

Bella Kington was player of the match for her all round play and willingness to attack and take players on. She deserved her goal to remain top goal scorer just ahead of Laura.
