Huddersfield Town u16's 4 - 0 Rotherham United Whitehill
Huddersfield Town Ladies U16's blew the cobwebs off of their Xmas break with a good 4 - 0 win over Rotherham Utd. Town were quick to get off the mark and within 6m found Molly Ellis start a run down the right wing where she was able to cross to Jess Barrow who turned and sent the ball past the keeper...1-0 Town.
Town wasn't just attacking from the right, on 12m Zoe Laughton made the game move down the left wing and was able to sneak the ball through Molly who tapped the ball home...2-0 Town. Rotherham had no answers from the wings and Molly was keen to take advantage when she slipped the ball across to Harriet Waller who tidily put the ball away...3-0 Town.Despite the fantastic passing around the pitch Town were not taking advantage of all their chances. Courtney Livsey knocked the ball over the bar on 21m, then shortly afterwards took a shot from just outside the box which the keeper well saved. The remainder of the half and Town were in full control of the game and took advantage of practising their passing game.
Half time 3-0 Town
Second half continued pretty much like the first with Town in complete control but still not finishing all of their chances. Molly shot wide on 48m, Harriet shot over on 55m and after a Zoe cross Harriet knocked the ball wide of the goal. not all of their chances were going to go to waste and Jess was able to score Towns fourth when the ball found itself in the box and after some bouncing between players Jess got control and fired it home.
All in all this was a good solid performance that showed some great skill on the pitch. Star player was Molly Ellis who dominated the wing to feed many of the attacks.
