4 minutes into the game and Macy Ellis had a first attempt at goal cleared off the line.

Just a few minutes later 2 more attempts from Brodie Haigh and Macy again.

In the 9th minute Alicia Marriott crossed to Macy who took a shot which bounced off the post and was cleared away by Chesterfield.

Chesterfield then had their attempt at goal stopped by Emily Brookes in Town's goal.

Town got through the Chesterfield defence again and with some excellent passing and teamwork had 6 more attempts at goal within a 6 minute period, all stopped by the Chesterfield keeper.

Midway through the half, Town finally broke the deadlock with Macy Ellis firing 2 goals in 2 minutes.

5 minutes later 3 more attempts at goal from Gwen Hughes, Zoe Laughton and Molly Ellis were thwarted by the in form Chesterfield keeper.

35 minutes in and a blast from Courtney Livsey into the air narrowly misses a plane, madness in the goal area ensued and another attempt by Livsey was saved by the Chesterfield keeper.

ln last 2 minutes before half time and great teamwork from Molly and Courtney resulted in goal number 3.

 

Half time 3-0

 

Minutes into the second half and Olivia Burgin had an attempt at goal deflected by the keeper. another couple of minutes later and Livsey and Harriett Waller worked together allowing Harriett to score and get 2 more goals to put Town 5-0 up.

Another 2 attempts from towns Courtney and Brodie Haigh were saved by the chesterfield keeper. In the 56th minute Chesterfield managed to get past our defence and score their one and only goal of the match.

Unfortunately for Chesterfield,  Town managed to get another 3 goals in 6 minutes 1 for Haigh, 1 for Livsey and a 2nd of the match for Molly Ellis.

Finally, with 15 minutes remaining, Harriett Waller scored the last goal of the match making final score 9-1.

The score doesn't reflect the game as Chesterfield battled well throughout and credit has to go to their keeper who was excellent.
