Well the pre match preparations were hit hard when a squad of 12 was suddenly down to 10 due to illness on the morning of the match. So after a reshuffle the game started with Huddersfield on top but it was Doncaster who broke the deadlock 0-1 

Huddersfield then regrouped and a ball crossed in was turned in by phoebe lodge 1-1 this was then followed by a second when Brodie Haigh chipped the keeper from 25 yards 2-1.

Doncaster now took control of the game with there physical play and long ball game and they quickly turned it round with 2 goals in quick succession 2-3 

Which was the score at half time 

The second half started with Doncaster on the front foot and added to their total  2-4 Huddersfield then regrouped and a period of control led to a goal back from Jessica Barrow 3-4 but then the old adage of not conceding after you have scored happened as Doncaster added a 5th 3-5. Huddersfield though weren't finished and they came again with Harriet Waller turning in a cross from the right 4-5 there was now 2 mins left could they gain a well earned point and a great passing move suddenly put Harriet clean through and being the top scorer in the league this was surely a formality but the Doncaster keeper did well and kept her at bay. Were we going to regret it ? Huddersfield now had their tails up and did everything but score and the game went into injury time when a shot from Jessica Barrow was deflected behind for a corner could they do it ? The corner came in and Frances Keddie ghosted in at the back post to fire across everybody into the far corner to break Doncaster hearts and send Neil dancing down the touchline jumping and punching the air 

What a finish to the game 5-5 

A very good determined performance from a team with 10 girls who never stopped working and gave everything to the cause to make sure they were not beat.
